CASSIAN'S POV
My head was throbbing when I woke up, but not as bad as it had been last night.
My condition seemed to be getting worse, with the curse still there. If the curse wasn't broken soon, this would be just a little of the things that were yet to happen.
I blinked a few times to clear my vision before trying to sit up.
I was still a bit dazed when I heard a little rasping of someone's breath. I turned instantly and was surprised to find Sloane beside me.
I was a bit surprised, wondering how and why she'd come in here.
She stirred a little before finally waking up. Her eyes shot up in surprise when she noticed I was awake.
"Hey," she leaned forward and felt my temperature. "Are you okay? Do you still feel sick?"
"No." I shook my head. "I think I'm okay now."
