I Left

LILA'S POV. The voice kept coming but was becoming faint as we ran. My wolf did not waste one minute looking back. She ran and ran. I could recognize that voice even as it was getting faint.. It's the first gatekeeper. The one I clean his corner every day. I felt pity for the punishment that would be meted out to him when he says that he's not aware of my whereabouts. We had run deep into the forest when I started reminiscing on the good moment I had with Kelvin last night. I wish it were that way every day. If wishes were horses…… And I also needed to protect my unborn baby. Lena's pace started to slow down, unlike before. I knew she was tired, and I had no food with me. “Please, Lena you've to be very strong. We need to run deeper into the forest so that we won't be caught. Kelvin will soon send his men to come after us.” Lena tried to increase her pace again. She got to a place and stopped. I decided to take over, even with my pregnancy. I was not as fast as my wolf, and I had not gone far when I felt so empty, and my stomach started its fight again. My worms were fighting themselves. From afar, I saw a stream. I managed to get to the stream. I wanted to take some water since I don't have any food. As soon as I got to the stream, I fell on the floor so exhausted. I could not feel my legs again. Mere looking at me lying on the floor looks like I had collapsed. I was conscious, conscious of my environment but could not move. I had one fear: the rogues. I started praying to the Moon Goddess to protect me from rogues. I had not prayed long when I heard some footsteps marching towards me. Rogues? I tried standing so that I could run, but couldn't. I was so tired and very hungry. I have not experienced that kind of hunger, it could be because I am pregnant. I tried to distract myself but the footsteps kept getting closer. They were already very close above my head. I had a slight argument. “Look at her, she's lying lifeless” “She's looking lifeless but I don’t believe she's dead.” “You know you argue a lot. Let me check myself.” I could only hear but couldn't see what was really happening. Just then, a hand touched me and I flinched. “She's alive and her eyes are open. Please let's take her to the pack. I think she needs some food and rest to resuscitate her.” The other came and also touched my head. “Alex, carry her, let's leave here.” The second man said. He carried me on his shoulder and I guess the other man was his brother. He followed behind. We walked a short distance before we got to a very mighty gate. Alex stopped in front of the gate, and it opened by itself. We all entered, and it closed. I was very weak but was able to observe this. For me, I call it magic. “I've been afraid of rogues, but what happened when the two brothers were something I could not explain. I felt peace and this connection, but a part of me was still afraid, considering what I went through in the hands of Kelvin and Aurora.” Alex carried me to a very beautiful and conducive room with an air conditioner. He dropped me carefully on the bed. “Please I'll be back in a jiffy.” He left Shortly, after he left, he came back with a woman old enough to be my mother. “Please, take care of her. She needs enough rest and food. Please ensure she's fine.” The woman looked at me. It was only one of my eyes that was open. She came closer and rubbed my head. “Don't worry, you'll be fine.” Let me go get you something. She left the room and came back with a lot of things with her. I heard something that sent shivers down my spine. “What is this stranger doing here and who permitted her in?” It was a familiar voice.
