NICKY'S POV

Three days, that's how long Monty has been missing. He isn't answering me, or anyone, so I just know that something is really, really wrong.
"How can you expect me to calm down?" I yell at Blaze. He's supposed to be our Alpha, yet he's unbothered that his best friend is missing.
"Because I have people looking for him," Blaze grits out and he pulls his shoulders back as he straightens himself.
I always thought that I could win Blaze over, but Monty was the better option back then, easier.
I was lucky that Aerilyn started dating him, but she never deserved him anyway.
He was the future Alpha's best friend, and she did not deserve the beta title I thought Monty was going to get, but I knew I had to climb the rank somehow, and Monty was the easiest target.
