I remember Hannah during my second year in senior school. She was a very quiet girl may her soul rest peacefully.hannah was on scholarship though it is a different type.I think her sponsors was her uncle, unlike the regular one that the school sponsors. He was the one paying for her fees since junior year. Early senior year they lost him to cancer of the lungs, it was a tough one for her because after his death they was no one to fund her again. I could picture her in my head as she was narrating her experience on the hospital bed. She told us how helpless she felt when she saw her bills with no one to foot it, how every word she pronounced while reading it felt like a death sentence to her. She told us how happy she felt when her friend told her, she had a way out for her she felt relieved believing she found her solace. Hannah walked into the restaurant with her friend eager to meet the person that will help her, but was shocked to find a man waiting for them her friend introduced the man the name she didn't remember as she was too busy in her own world to pay attention believing the man was just there, perhaps the person she want to work for because if not work what other thing will her friend be doing, or will want to introduce her into to make money. She was later told that her job is to work for the man as his personal help, she got into the car with the stranger trusting her friend's word. The man mansion was huge, and beautiful in fact beautiful was an understatement to how elegant the house looks. Her first few months went well, as she was able to pay her bills.but it was not long before the man started touching her in places she did not want, at first it was the brief touch on her butt cheeks, which she counted as a mistake but later on the touch continues. This time around not like a mistake, it comes intentionally like a gentle squeeze on the butt, touching on the lap,and many more. she told her friend, as she was not comfortable with this touch. Her friend encouraged her that the man was only joking, and he could not possibly be into teenager. Hannah would have believed it like she said, if it was just once, but it occurred frequently to be a mistake. she went to work the following day, with the intention of telling her boss she would not be working for him any longer. If she had known she would have just sent her friend, but like the saying nobody knows tomorrow. She arrived earlier that day than usual, so she can finish her work and leave. perhaps leave him a note to inform him she would not be continuing the following month, after her usual cleaning she was about to write the letter when her boss came in, she decided to confront him about the unusual touches and her plan of not working for him any longer. she told us how he replied coldly, that she should welcome to reality that nobody is coming to save her, he went on telling her that if she noticed, they was no other maid in the house aside her, and his gate keeper is not always around his only job is to open the gate and after he comes in he(the gatekeeper) goes home. He tried to have his way with her which led to few struggles from her but he was stronger, she had to surrender, at first he was surprised she made sure she had gotten his trust to some extent then kneeled him in the place that matters most. she told us how pain was visible on his face, she then used that privilege to run but she was so unfortunate to have been hit by a car. she was rushed to the hospital where few students were assigned to visit her, and pray with her, it was during one of these visits that she narrated her experience to us which made me question fate because l believe she was not supposed to lose her life.
