Lucas carried Alicia. Some workers came out after hearing the noise. They were whispering to themselves.
Alicia looked at Becky and gave a small, wicked smirk. Becky stood there, shocked. Alicia’s words came back to her: “If I want Lucas, I will take him from you.”
He took Alicia to her office and helped her sit.
“We need to sue this building,” he said. “What carelessness. What if something had happened to you?”
Alicia smiled a little. “Nothing happened. It stopped in time. You’re here for the meeting.”
Before Lucas could answer, Becky pushed the door and stepped in.
“Have you gone out of your mind, Lucas? I am your wife,” she shouted. “You know I am claustrophobic. Do you know how relieved I was when I saw you… And you went for her?”
She pointed at Alicia. She stood and faced her.
