Amelie’s POV
What is going on? Why is everyone running in and out of Zander’s room?
I start down the hallway towards his room, and Nathan grabs my hand.
“Don’t, Amelie,” he pleaded, “Let’s find out what’s going on first.”
I looked up at him. I know he’s right, but I can’t wait. I struggle free from his grasp, and I push my way to the door.
“ZANDER!” I cried out in shock as I saw an entire team working on Zander. The tears start to fall heavily. “NO! SAVE HIM! PLEASE SAVE HIM!” I sobbed.
Suddenly, a pair of strong arms enveloped me. Nathan, I can tell by his scent.
“You need to leave the room so we can do our job, Miss,” a young nurse said as she backed us towards the door.
“I CAN’T LEAVE HIM!” I screamed.
Nathan wraps his arms tighter around me and carries me out of the room.
