We managed to pack most of the house, well the important things that we actually needed and made our way to the road. Dad had already fueled up and had enough gas cans to get us there without risking any stops at a gas station, common places for carjackings and murders. We all had guns within reach and knew how to use them but we made it out of the city without any trouble. The drive was non-eventful. We made it to our house without issue and we all chipped in to get unpacked and our house in order. It took maybe a month or so to get settled into a routine. Dad and I worked on our perimeter sensors while Mom and Lisa got our supplies stowed away. Mornings soon became about prep for the day, we all worked together to get the dull stuff out of the way and after a while, we actually had time
