The cell phone rang out throughout the house. It took several long minutes before someone got around to answering it. Letting out an exasperated sigh, Chloe snatched the phone off the coffee table and brought it up to her ear.
"Hello?" She asked into the phone. She tried to hide her annoyance in her voice.
"Chloe!" The voice on the other end of the phone called out. "How are you?"
"Oh, hey Mom," Chloe said, perking up her voice. "I was just thinking of you. How you doing?"
