I was about to retire for the night when my phone buzzed loudly with a video call from Lukas.

At least, he had the decency to give me a call.
I rushed to the mirror and touched up my face. I fixed my hair, making sure it wasn't out of place.
I cleared my throat and answered the call.
“Hello….” The rest of my words got caught in my throat at the sight before me.

His face was hardly visible, but I recognized the tattoo and the scar on his arm all too well.
