Chapter 3

As we pulled into the training grounds, i felt more off then usual, the unsettling became worse, “Karina are you okay? I’m not liking this feeling” I could feel her at the edge, coming forward so she seewhat is going on around us.

“He is here somewhere, but I feel like this is a bad thing to find our mate right now.”

“What do you mean, our mate is another Elite? This is what i am afraid of, he may not like that we are as strong as we are and reject us. That is the one thing i am afraid of.”

“We will get through this no matter what, We can handle it if it happens, butI have a feeling that it will lead to a fight when we finally find out who it is”. Karina tells me with uncertainty in her words.

“i have no clue what is going to happen, but we will go head first and be strong about this, if he can’t except us the way we are then we will deal with it, however the outcome, we got this together.”

Jared looks at me, “‘It’s worse, isn’t it. I can sense how nervous you are, it’s the only thing I can feel from you. What’s going on?’

“He’s here, and I don’t think its going to go well at all, there may be a fight before training is over today, and not a good one” i look at Jared and he gives me an understanding nod. We both know that when Karina makes up her mind that nothing will change it. we get out of the car and the scent hits me, Karina is on edge and alert to everything, “It’s him, his scent is so overwhelming, we must find him”. The scent of Fresh cut grass after the rain is absolutely mouthwatering and calming. I start follow it without grabbing my bag.

I hear Jared muttering behind me as he closes the trunk and runs after me. Karina is following the scent, the closer we get the stronger it is. I look around trying to find out who it is, I stop suddenly and see exactly who it is. Standing next to Alpha Jetson is Dominic, He is starring at me with a confused look, his wolf Damon staring out also. We start to approach each other as everyone backs away, the power coming from us is overwhelming. It seems that our wolves are fighting for dominance over the others, this is going to be a problem.

“Mate wants me to submit to him and admit I am weaker then him” Karina growls, “We are equals, I will NOT submit”.

“He is our Alpha and mate, of course he wants us to submit, but why does that make you so upset?”

“Damon does NOT want a mate that will fight and protect the pack at his side, they want us to give up training and become a submissive Luna!! I won’t do it!!”

Dominic and I meet in the middle of the training grounds, “Lindsey, you will not train anymore, you are my mate and I forbid it. I will not take any chances of you being hurt, Our job is to protect you, not take the chance to loose you”, Dominic and Damon say, their voices combined.

Karina rushes forward, “I will NOT submit, I am just as strong as you, I will protect and defend this pack beside you, we WILL be equals, I will prove it to you or you can reject us”. She pushes out more as I fight to hold her back, she has never fought me this strongly before, it’s taking me everything to not let her shift us.

“Oh, my sweet little Lyn’s, your wolf thinks she can beat me, we will spare and you will see your not a match to battle beside me”, He shifts completely into Damon, growling at me playfully.

“Son, do not do this, you will regret the decision if you this” I hear Alpha Jetson yell out. He must not have told Dominic about Karina.

“As you wish MATE” Karina snarls and forces a shift, causing me to lose all control. We stand head to head with Damon, the shock clear as day in his eyes at our size and coloring, as she circles around him, growling and ready to fight. Karina will not stop until she makes her point. She will not back down from this, “Please Karina, don’t do this, he will reject us when when this is over”.

“NO, he will learn. I will prove we are equals, he thinks we are not strong enough to be an Elite. He needs to know our full strength”.

Damon comes at us playfully, not realizing that that she won’t hold back and this is not a game to her. She has him pinned to the ground in thirty seconds, snarling at him. The realization that this is not a game, but a serious sparing session to prove a point dawns on him and he starts to fight back. Blow for blow, swing for swing, we match each other, each trying to pin the other without succeeding. Both of us continue for hours, Alpha has tried to stop us, as well as his mother, my family and all the ranked members. We are both covered in each others blood, dirt and grass, and we are both starting to become drained. The entire training field become our battlefield, it was completely torn apart. Some pack members stayed to watch, others left, afraid of what could happen.

With Both of us completely winded and exhausted, but trying to hide it, he shifts back, “Enough, we are done with this, I will allow you to train, we will talk more about this later, go rest and heal, we both need it.” He tells me and starts to walk toward his our parents. I watch him walk away confused, that’s all he has to say. I look at Jared and can see he is worried, he starts walking toward me with my covering. He feels my exhaustion and my pain, He looks at Dominic but only nods, I shift back as he gets to me and cover myself. I look over at Dominic as he watches me, I turn and walk to the car without looking back. Karina is already healing me, but i know i will be stiff in the morning.
