Chapther 9 - Staying home

Ryan POV

I woke up in the middle of the night cause of a scream, it came from Ruby’s room, I stood up and hurried down to Ruby’s room. When I came in, I saw she was asleep, but she was tossing from side to side and mumbled words. She was crying and she was covered in sweat. She was having another nightmare, I slowly went over to her. I laid down next to her and pulled her into me, I hugged her tight until she calmed down again. When I looked up at the door, I saw James, Mark, Noah and Liam. They all looked really tired but still worried. “Is she okay?” Mark asked me and walked closer, “Yes, she had a nightmare, but I calmed her down” I answered and looked down at my little sister. She was still clinging on to me and was asleep. “What are we gonna do?” Noah asked us, and that really got me thinking. I haven’t even told my parents that she tried to do suicide again. “She has the rest of the week off, so we have some time to think about that” I answered them, I tried to get up, but she wouldn’t let go. “I’ll stay here, she won’t let go” I chuckled and so did the other guys. I closed my eyes again and fell asleep again.

*Next morning*

Ruby POV

I woke up to hugging Ryan, and then I remembered that someone hugged me in my sleep. I got up and put my hair up in a messy bun. I checked what time it was an it was 6:30 am, so I decided to wake Ryan up. I took the pillow and threw it on his face. He woke up so my technique worked, he looked really confused I started laughing. “Are you done?” He asked in a pissed tone, so I just started laughing even more and ended up on the floor. “Haha very funny” He said in a very sarcastic way, “I know” I said when I was done laughing. He rolled his eyes at my comment, I started to find the clothes I would wear. “Why are you getting ready” Ryan asked me, while I was looking at my options for my outfit. “I’m going to school today sine it’s only Thursday” I said to him with a very duh tone. “Erhh, you’ve the rest of the week off” He said to me, but I hate being alone home in so long, because it’s boring and I love irritating my brother and the other guys. “Why?” I asked him, I was perfectly fine. “Because of your little stunt, and I don’t want you to go to school yet” He said and crossed his arms, “But-“ I tried to say, but got interrupted by my stupid brother. “No buts, you’re staying home the rest of the week.” He said in the sternest voices I have ever heard “But I know you don’t like being alone, so Josh and Liam are staying here to keep you company” and his voice softened.

“I gotta go get ready for school, and after school I will be at the company” He said and kissed me on my forehead, he went out of the door. I decided that since I wasn’t going to school, I didn’t wanna change clothes. I just went downstairs and into the kitchen and made a bowl of yogurt and fruit on top. I sat at the kitchen island and ate my breakfast. I went upstairs and brushed my teeth, when I had brushed my teeth I went downstairs again. I went into our movie room and saw friends again. We had some blankets and stuff in the room, so I just cuddled up in the blanket and enjoyed watching friends. I heard the door open, and I looked up and saw it was Josh and Liam. After I saw that it was them, I continued watching friends. They sat down beside me and watched friends with me. After I had watched a couple of episode, I decided that I wanted to watch I Disney movie. When into Disney plus, “Seriously, Disney again?” Josh asked me, both Liam and Josh weren’t really the Disney type. “Yeah, do you have a problem with that” I asked them with a little sass. They just sighed. I finally found a movie I wanted to watch, and it was the little mermaid. But before I turned it on, I got up to grab some snacks. “Josh come help me” I said or more demanded. He was quick to follow, cause he knew I was getting snacks. Both me and Josh love snacks. When we came into the kitchen, I was quick to cut up some fruit, while I cut fruit Josh made popcorn. When both popcorn and fruit was done, we took some soda with us. When we came back, we heard Liam talk to someone on the phone. “Yeah she’s fine, her and Josh just went up to get some snacks” I heard Liam say, and I already knew he was talking to my brother. When I went into the room, Liam looked up at us and grinned when he saw our snack choice. “Well I gotta go, they just got back” Liam said and hanged up after he said a goodbye. “So, what did Ryan want?” I asked even though I already knew the answer. “He just wanted to make sure you were okay” He answered, and I just rolled my eyes, I turned the movie on, and cuddled into the blanket again, but now I had snacks. During the movie I got a text from an unknown number, “I’m going to the bathroom” I said while pausing the movie. I quietly walked out of the room. After the door closed and ran into the nearest bathroom. When I was in there, I checked the message. “You’re going to pay for not being in school” It said, I already knew who it was… John. I shuddered at the message and the thought of the kiss. When I came back to realization, I went downstairs into the movie room again and sat down again. I continued having fun and ignored the message, I f I would let it bother me, the guys would know something was wrong.
