Chapter 11 - Brandon

1374 Words
Ruby POV “What du you want?” I snapped at Brandon; I wasn’t in a mood to talk to him. We have never really talked, but I don’t like him, he is extremely cocky, ignorant and arrogant, and he is the bad boy of the school. “Chill, I just followed you because you stormed into me and then just ran away” He said with an angry tone “I didn’t even know that it was you”. “Go out, I don’t wanna talk to you” I said in a calm but angry voice. “You’re talking to me now, and why don’t you wanna talk with me? Every girl loves me, so why should you be any different?” He teased with a huge smirk on his lips, he slowly walked closer to me. “Because I’m not like the rest of these girls here, and cocky people aren’t my type, so stay the f**k away” I snapped at him. He didn’t stop walking closer, when he was a few feet away from I turned around. “Don’t come closer, do the exact opposite and f**k off” I said to him, but he didn’t listen to me, and continued walking closer until he was in front of me. “What about no” He smirked at me; I wish I could slap that smirk off of his face. “What do you want?” I asked him, I was getting tired of him. “Nothing special” he answered still with that smirk. I rolled my eyes and started walking out, “s**t” I said out loud when I realized that I forgot my bag in the classroom. “What’s wrong” Brandon asked with a fake concern in his voice. “Nothing” I said to him, he was so annoying, and I couldn’t take it anymore. I started speeding up, but he kept following me. When I was in front of the classroom, I looked inside and saw that he was still there. I didn’t dare walking into the classroom. I ran down to the library and waited there, I would have to wait until he was gone. It was hard not to cry. Brandon had of course followed me to the library. He sat opposite me and continued asking questions, I answered them, but I didn’t talk much. After about 45 minutes I saw John walking out of the school. I got up and ran down to the room. Luckily it was unlocked, and I grabbed my bag. I took my phone out of the bag and saw that all the guys had called and texted me. I went outside to my car and got into it. I drove home, I had to keep myself together to not start crying.   Ryan POV “Where is she?” Noah asked us, I ran my hand through my hair “I don’t know, the only thing I know is she isn’t picking up her phone, and she should have been home an hour ago, but she isn’t home.” I snapped at him. Ruby should have been home an hour ago, but there is absolutely no sign of her. She isn’t picking up when we call her, and she doesn’t respond to our texts. I am so worried, and I have no idea where she is. You might think that an hour isn’t that long, but when she always texts us and tell us where she is, and she almost always come home, and that John guy is in the area. I went up into the office in our house, I took a glass of whiskey. I sat down at my desk and drank the whiskey. I was lost in my thoughts when my phone rang. I quickly picked it up hoping that it was Ruby. It was one of our clients, I talked with them for about half an hour. When I was done, I walked downstairs hoping that Ruby was home, but she was nowhere to be seen. I ran my hand through my hair again, and just sat down on the couch.   Ruby POV When I was back home, I parked the car in garage and went inside. Noah, Ryan, Liam, Mark and James were storming around looking frustrated and worried. Liam looked up and we made eye contact. “She’s home” He said to the others, and they all looked at me. I slowly went right beside them and up to my room. Right before I could step up on the first step. I was pulled back into someone’s arms. When I looked up, I saw that it was Ryan. He looked relieved, I guess because I was home. “Where were you?” He asked but, in a whisper, “Nowhere” I whispered back. I tried to get out of his grip, but he just tightened his grip. He lifted me up and went into the living room. He said me down on the couch, and the guys sat down around me. “I’m gonna ask you one more time and you’re gonna tell the truth, where were you?” Ryan asked again but with a sterner and angrier tone. “I was at the school” I whispered. The guys still looked confused, but I was getting tired of it. I stood up and went into the kitchen, I grabbed a glass of water and took some almonds. When I had eaten it and drunken the water. I ran up into my room, I locked the door behind me. I went into my bathroom and took of my makeup. I changed clothes into an oversized t-shirt and laid down in the bed. I could still her the guys knocking on my door and talking to me. I decided to listen to music, I decided I was in the mood for sad music. When I properly laid down, I started crying. I got lost in my thoughts. I was scared of my future, what if John actually chain me t his bed and keep me as his slave? No, I couldn’t let that happen. But as if the entire thing with John wasn’t enough, my mom is sick and have a few months left to live, and my dad is almost never home. But luckily, I have my friends and the guys. I continued crying for a long time, and the guys stopped knocking on my door.   *Dinner time* “Ruby dinner is ready” Mark said to me while knocking on the door. I stopped crying half an hour ago, so I got up and covered the bruises and hickeys. I quickly took some socks on and shorts, after getting ready I went downstairs. I sat down at the table, I could feel all eyes on me, but I looked down at my plate. I wasn’t really hungry, so I just sat and pushed the food around. “Okay, what is wrong? And don’t you dare say nothing or that you’re fine” Ryan broke the silence with a worried and slightly angry voice. I kept quiet, I really wanted to tell them, but I was too scared to do it, I knew I should tell them, but I didn’t. “Tell us right now, Ruby” Mark said to me, he was the most like my brother, because they both studied business and acted older, and they were both very stern. I hesitated but ended up saying “I just had a bad day”, they didn’t look like they believed it, but James was the first one to say, “I don’t believe that”. I stood up and left the table, I couldn’t stay there and be questioned like that. I went up into my room and took a pair of sweatpants and a hoodie on, before I went downstairs again, I grabbed my wallet and phone. When I got downstairs took my car keys and went to the garage and sat down in my car. I turned the car on, and just when I did that, I saw the guys come into the garage, Ryan looked extremely angry but still worried, the other guys looked sad, angry and worried. I pushed a button that opened the garage door and waited until it was up. By that time the guys stood outside the car and knocked on the window, I had locked the doors so they couldn’t get in. As soon as the door was up, I drove out.
