CHAPTER THREE ~•AGONY OF GRIEF•~ When the Luna of the Alpha King died; I died too. The Alpha king was the ultimate Alpha of the 15 packs of Tredolor and now he had lost his mate. I died because the Luna's death pierced my heart so deep that I could hardly bear. I felt death walk through me tearing and fanging my flesh to pieces. Everyone in Tredolor felt the same pain but on a different level depending on how close and deep the griefed her death; but nobody's grief was compared to the pain that of the Alpha King. It's been a year and six months since the Alpha king's Luna died yet it felt like yesterday to him. As the months went by his agony grew worse, he whimpered in pain trying to contain his sorrow. When his pain overwhelmed him, he transitioned uncontrollably howling and calling to the moon. Normally we howled when we needed to hail, hunt, mate etc. Howling was our code of communication. We howled on different occasions and each came with a remarkable sound that gave an exact indication. An indication to run, hide, fight, express, halt etc. It had to be something. There was a reason for every howl we made. But now it was different for the Alpha king, he lacked indication and he howled for comfort. When comfort wasn't found he yowled voilently. Every howl indicated an umbrella of the same emotion. Pain, anguish, sorrow, suffering, agony, torture etc name it all. His Luna was dead and gone, far from him never to be seen, felt or smelt. Nine months after the death of Luna Elena, on the fourth day of the moon's waxing cresent in the lunar cycle. I accompanied my master, The wolf seer of Tredolor to visit the griefing Alpha king. When we arrived at the castle. The Alpha king was laying unconscious in his chambers . I could sense a broken pain throbbing from his chest, his heart had become afflicted with an insufferable agony. When he woke up he appeared weak, bare chested with his eyes sunken, his body was thin like a strand of broom along with the lines of his rib cage revealing it's shape on his skin; as though he had been starved for weeks without food. We had been escorted into the castle by Drahul the Alpha king's Beta. I perceived Drahul had been frantically scared for days becuase I could see his emotions boiling within his being. But he covered it up with an optimistic facade of hope. He had sent his message earlier to my master insisting that the king was unwell and needed urgent care and healing. My master and I took a short glance at each other after we came in contact with the king's terrible situation. Drahul lingered behind my master hoping to get some solution to the Alpha king's situation. " He is drifting away" My master's Orotund voice echoed within the Alpha king's chambers. He sounded so convincing as usual, his voice overpowered the absorption of sound as it reflected of the surface of the scarcely adorned room. "What do you mean by drifting?" Drahul asked By drifting it meant the Alpha King was walking on the path to death. It was evident that Drahul understood what my master meant by 'drifting' but he wanted my master to affirm what he was thinking. "This is why I have called you, you have to help him. we could loose him too" Drahul pleaded Everyone knew My master was capable, he had the vice to heal in his hands but he couldn't prevent the Alpha king from his endless grief. At this point it seemed like the King couldn't leave without his dead Luna, it was indeed a devastating moment for the Alpha king. "Zuke" my master called "Zuke" my masters firm Orotund voice Echoed again as he approached the Alpha king by his bed but there was no reply. Silence perpetuated the Alpha King's chamber, his incapacitated being seemed lifeless but we knew there was still some life in him. My master took a deep breath while he assembled his vices of treatment;
