LUCIAN's POV Losing the ones we love is painful, but what about losing ourselves? I was beginning to question my reality, my very identity. Who was I? How much of my life was real? Why had I been lied to? My efforts to find answers were futile. My mind was like a foggy forest, shrouded in mist, obscuring my path. It felt like I was floundering underwater; the more I tried to swim to the surface, the deeper I sank. My fingers brushed against the cool sands of the ocean floor, making me forget where the surface even was. My mind was constantly trying to fill in the gaps, leaving me exhausted.
