Dark Night Pack

Chapter 18

Sky's POV

As I walked down the stairs slowly I could hear what the hushed voices were saying.

" She needs to be taught a lesson!" That was Alpha Jace his so called hushed voice is classed as shouting. " Please Alpha she has a lot to deal with, Sky is a very angry girl." It was clear Mike was trying to win my mates side. As I got down the stairs the voices were coming my right so instead of walking in that direction I decide to go left and explore.

The hall ways floor had black wooden panels. There was pictures hanging on the walls p, they were all different some of them were paintings of people or landscape, other were pictures of the pack and families. 

The first door I came upon was on my left. The door was white with a bronze round handle, I check to make sure no one knows that I'm up. My hand Slowly went towards the handle and I steadily opened it still checking that no one sees me.  Once the door was open I was greeted with a dark room, the walls were black that had selves on holding books, games, guitars. There was a rough grey carpet the that had white and black patterns on it. In the middle of the room there was a  black pool table, there were lots hanging lights just above the pool table. On the right side of the table there was a picture hanging on the wall. Behind the table there was a bar that had alcohol bottles on the corner sand they were also lined the selves that were behind the bar. There were multiple TVs above the bar as well. To my left I saw a three seater sofa and on either side a single seated sofa , all facing a flat TV screen that had game consoles underneath it.

'typical for a boy to have a game room in the house' I thought as I left the room and closed the door gently.

The next door wasn't very far away so I headed straight to it not even caring this time if I made any type of noise. When I entered the room my bare  feet got even colder as the touched the wooden panels on the floor, they weren't the same colour as the hallway they were a pale/ light brown that made the room look even brighter. ' This must be the living room.'  there was a soft plush rug in the middle of the room. On top of the rug there was a small black square table, surrounding the table there was two long sofa's that were a dark colour and at the end there was a single puff.  The walls were white but there was one wall that was black.

There was another flat screen TV in the corner on a stand with all of the remotes neatly lined up on it. There was a white book self that had a few football magazines, a stero that had small speakers next to, CDs, a range of DVDS.

I took my time to admire the room just because it looked like it had never been lived in let a lone all of the objects have been used."Having fun?" I jumped as I heard Mike's voice behind me. I turned around to see him smirking at the fact I jumped.

" f**k Mike! Could you not have made noise when you entered the room? Wait how did you know I was here?" I said as Mike started to chuckle at my reactions.

" I went to check up on ya. And just before I went up the stairs I saw this door was open and I know you like to explore houses." He walked over to me placed a hand on the small of my back and directed me to the sofa.

" That's a fair enough reason I guess." I slightly laughed at the end. " I'm sorry I hit you over the head Sky. I had to stop you, you weren't listening at me or anyone." I could tell by Mike's voice that he was being serious now and that I was in trouble....yet again.

I looked down at the floor I couldn't look at Mike I was ashamed of myself at what happened.

" It's ok Mike-"

"No! It's not ok Sky! You need to stop this! Alpha Jace isn't a reasonable man. Do you know how much it took just to try and convince him to stop you being thrown into the cells?!" He stood up and started yelling at me.

' Mike has never yelled at us before.' Sasha said quietly in the back of my head, I could feel her bowing down to the anger that is coming off of  Mike in waves.

"I'm sorry Mike ok. I promise it won't happen again." I've never felt this guilty at doing something bad. Mike sighed and ran his hand through his hair. He started to shake his head at me.

"Sky you have said this before-"

" I mean it this time Mike. I really promise this time." I pleaded as I stood up. Mike looked at me and I could tell he had given in once again. "Alright but please make sure that it doesn't happen again." I nodded quickly and gave him a hug. " Now let's go to the kitchen there's an Alpha waiting for you."

Mike started walking towards the kitchen with me following reluctantly. Once we got there Alpha Jace was leaning against the wall and his beta was sat at the long table in the middle of the room, once again the kitchen was colour was black, the main wall was covered in bricks. Jace was staring at me intently, waiting for me to say something so I did.

"Where am I living?" I asked no one in particular.

"Here." Jace said simply. My eyes went wide.

" What no f*****g wa-" I was cut off by Mike.

"Now before you start just listen. You will be living with your mate like you should but you will have your own room." Mike explained to me.  I thought about it and it sounds ok to me.  It was easy to know that everyone was waiting for me to kick off again.

"That sounds okish to me."
