Stirring at the hand stretched towards her,she returned the smile without shaking his hand and said,the pleasure is all mine. everyone held their breath as they expected John to pick offence at her rude behaviour. but instead he smiled like he was expecting that from her. well maybe her dad told him about her condition.

let's sit down and eat, her father said trying to lighten up the atmosphere. while everyone was eating in silence Diana couldn't take a bite in her plate as she feels John's strong gaze on her, she was feeling so uncomfortable with it but she had to endure it,for the sake of her Dad.

why ain't you eating ur food? her dad asked annoyed. emm am not feeling too well dad,do u mind if i take a walk outside? she said with a silent plead. but before her dad could respond, John suggested he would like to accompany her outside, no , that's not necessary she said but her dad said that's a great idea, take a walk together and try to know each other better.

they walk together silently in the garden for a while and she turned to look at John seriously. look John, i understand what our parents are trying to do,u seem like a nice person so i want to be honest with you, am not interested in this whole thing so i would appreciate if u can reject it too.

He looked at her, puzzled by her words but smiled. Daina, i understand how u feel about this arrangement and I don't want to push you into something,but i sincerely admire u and would like to know to u better, he said sincerely.

why don't you give it a try? we can just be friends and get to know each other.

I don't think that's a good idea,she replied without a a hint of hesitation, I have no intention of being with any man or be friends, u are good looking, successful and smart,am sure u can find yourself a woman who will love and appreciate you.

John's face fell as she rejected him without a second thought, he was a man with pride after all,there are a lot of girls out there throwing themselves at him. he originally came today as his father requested and he wasn't happy about it. there have been a lot of rumours about the haires of the Adam's family being a Psycho who hates men, but he didn't know she was such a beauty, he was mesmerized by her beauty the moment she walked in, and he knew then and there that he wanted her.

Daina, I don't know if your dad didn't tell u but,our marriage has been arranged by our parents for a while, and they are just waiting for us to get familiar and spend time together to get to know each other well, so I think you should think about it before rejecting as both of our companies need this partnership.

what nonsense are you talking about?Daina asked angrily ,what gives you the right to talk to me like that,no one has the right to arrange my marriage without my consent, and I definitely don't want anything to do with you. she stormed out after saying that. she was so angry, how could her Dad do this to her,he didn't even care to know how she feels, he only cares about his business and profits,she was just a bargain ship to him that he wants to use to establish more connections.

just why does her father hate her so much,she was his only child so shouldn't he be treating her with care,not once has he ever cared for her like a father should,her mom was the only one who understands and loves her,if she didn't know better,she would have think that he wasn't really her father. she was walking down the street and didn't pay attention to where she was heading as her vision was blurry from her tears, and suddenly a car speed towards her,she didn't have time to act as she closed her eyes in shock but she was pulled out before she got hit by the car. she opened her eyes wide to see she was saved, trembling she looked up to see who had save her,she couldn't believe her eyes, stirring down at her was the most beautiful grey eyes she had ever seen,he held her closely as to stop her from falling. are you alright? he asked with concern, Huh,she didn't know how to respond as she was still looking at him in shock. the driver that almost hit her screamed at her,are you crazy,were you trying to get yourself killed?. get out of the road he road and zoomed off.

Daina regaining her senses, pulled away and thank her saviour. somehow he looks so familiar,but she can't remember if she had met him before. You are still as reckless as ever he said teasing her, what? she asked confused, was she imagining things or did he just say she was as reckless as ever. excuse me ,she said confused, have we met before?.
