At that moment, Sabienn was startled by a noise. It was sharp and insistent like a bird pecking wood, but heavier. Bang-bang-bang. Bang-bang-bang. His head swivelled around and saw Stork was equally stunned to hear it and a look of astonishment filled Stork’s face as he located the source. Sabienn followed his eyes and as there was a casual clearing of people in the corner, he noticed a young human boy, maybe ten or twelve. The boy was dressed in contrast to every other person here, wearing a long white boy’s night shirt, its lowest hem just above his bare feet. The boy’s eyes and hair were dark and wild.
