The silver pillar of light continued to shine across the night sky, stretching from the earth to the heavens like a bridge connecting two worlds.
From the cliffs of the Sun Clan, Kai could only stare.
"So... I'm not the only Ranger."
Elder Orion stood beside him, his weathered face illuminated by the moonlight.
"No."
"The prophecy has entered its second stage."
Kai turned toward the elder.
"Who is the Moon Ranger?"
Orion slowly shook his head.
"I do not know."
"For thousands of years, the Sun Clan and the Moon Clan have lived apart. Even we don't know where the Lunar Temple is hidden."
Kai looked back at the distant beam of silver light.
"Then we have to find it."
Far beyond the mountains, hidden inside a dense forest where moonlight never seemed to fade, stood another ancient sanctuary.
Unlike the Sun Clan's village, this place was silent.
Its buildings were carved from white stone that shimmered beneath the stars. Crystal streams flowed through the village, reflecting the moonlight like liquid silver.
This was the Moon Clan.
Inside the Temple of the Crescent Moon, sixteen-year-old Lyra Aster slowly opened her eyes.
She lay in the center of a glowing circle surrounded by ancient symbols.
Her silver armor had disappeared, leaving only a beautiful bracelet shaped like a crescent moon on her wrist.
Confused, she sat up.
"What... happened?"
The memories came rushing back.
The earthquake.
The Shadow Beasts.
The Lunar Crystal.
The mysterious voice.
And her transformation.
She quickly looked around.
Her older brother, Darian, rushed toward her.
"Lyra!"
He hugged her tightly.
"You scared everyone."
"I'm okay..."
"I think."
An elderly woman wearing silver robes approached them.
She was Elder Selene, leader of the Moon Clan.
"The Lunar Crystal has chosen."
Everyone inside the temple bowed respectfully.
Lyra looked confused.
"Chosen me?"
Selene nodded.
"For generations, we've waited for the next Moon Guardian."
"Last night..."
"The Lunar Crystal awakened."
"It chose your heart."
Lyra stared at the bracelet.
"I don't understand."
"I'm just an ordinary girl."
Selene smiled gently.
"No Ranger is ever chosen because they are extraordinary."
"They become extraordinary because they choose to protect others."
Meanwhile, inside the Shadow Fortress...
Deep beneath a sky covered in eternal darkness, General Umbros knelt before an enormous throne.
The room was silent except for the sound of crackling black flames.
A massive armored figure sat upon the throne.
His face remained hidden beneath a dark helmet crowned with jagged horns.
Only his glowing crimson eyes could be seen.
The Shadow Emperor.
Umbros lowered his head.
"My Emperor."
"The Sun Ranger has awakened."
"And now..."
"So has the Moon Ranger."
Silence filled the chamber.
Then the Emperor slowly stood.
The room trembled.
"So..."
"The prophecy continues."
He clenched one armored fist.
"We cannot allow the two Rangers to unite."
"If they stand together..."
"Our return will be impossible."
He turned toward another warrior standing in the shadows.
A woman dressed in elegant black armor stepped forward.
Silver hair flowed behind her like smoke.
Her name was General Noctra.
Unlike Umbros, she preferred speed and deception over brute strength.
The Emperor looked directly at her.
"Find the Moon Ranger."
"Destroy her..."
"Before the Sun reaches her."
Noctra smiled coldly.
"As you command."
She disappeared into the darkness.
Back at the Sun Clan...
Kai continued training every day.
Although he had become stronger, he still struggled to control his Ranger powers.
Sometimes the Solar Armor appeared by accident whenever he became emotional.
Other times, the Solar Saber refused to respond.
Aiden laughed after Kai accidentally sliced a training dummy in half.
"You know..."
"I think the armor likes showing off."
Kai rolled his eyes.
"It isn't funny."
Rylan picked up the broken pieces.
"It actually is."
Even Kai couldn't help laughing.
For the first time since the attack, hope returned to the village.
But it didn't last long.
A scout rushed toward the training grounds.
"Elder Orion!"
"We've received strange reports."
"What happened?" Orion asked.
"Several villages beyond the mountains have disappeared."
"No survivors."
Kai's smile faded.
"So they're attacking innocent people now."
Orion nodded grimly.
"The Shadow Army is expanding."
Kai stepped forward.
"Then I'm going."
Aiden immediately joined him.
"So am I."
Rylan nodded.
"You'll need someone to stop both of you from making reckless decisions."
Orion looked at the three teenagers.
"You are not fully prepared."
Kai answered without hesitation.
"If innocent people are in danger..."
"We can't wait."
The elder remained silent for several moments.
Finally, he smiled.
"The Sun truly chose well."
He handed Kai a rolled map.
"This will guide you beyond our territory."
He then looked at all three boys.
"Your journey begins today."
As the sun slowly rose, the gates of the hidden village opened for the first time in many years.
Kai looked back one last time.
Everything he had ever known was behind him.
Ahead lay an unknown world filled with danger.
Aiden stretched happily.
"So..."
"This is our first real adventure."
Rylan adjusted the supplies on his backpack.
"Try not to get us killed before lunchtime."
"I make no promises," Aiden laughed.
Kai smiled.
Despite everything that had happened...
He wasn't alone.
Together, the three friends stepped beyond the mountains.
None of them noticed a pair of crimson eyes watching from the trees.
General Noctra smiled.
"So..."
"The hunt begins."
Far away, under the glow of the full moon, Lyra also prepared to leave her hidden village, carrying only her Lunar Morpher and the hope that she could live up to the destiny placed upon her.
Neither Kai nor Lyra knew it yet.
But every step they took was bringing them closer to each other.
And closer to the greatest battle the world had ever seen.
