I chopped the raw sugarcane into little bits, transferred some into the juicer and carefully squeezed out the juices to create a by-product called molasses. I slowly prepped in 3.5 gallons of warm water into the brew pot; brought it up to 125°F(essentially maintaining boiling water). I. began to carefully stir in the remaining raw cane sugar and black strap molasses till I got a nice homogeneous product. Though, this stage was actually a dull and long process, it took a while so I silently sang to myself as I stirred continually. Lucy and Tracy were actually making enough tomato juice for the Bloody Mary.
I kept on stirring till I had a nicely dissolved sugar and molasses mixture; I quickly added the remaining gallon of water in order to bring down the temperature of the hot water-sugar mix. I took hold of the thermometer and began checking the temperature of the mixture as it cools. I kept stirring the mixture; around thirty seconds every five minutes until I got a temperature of eighty(80) degrees. I quickly emptied the mixture from the brew pot into a very large-size bowl; in which I turned gradually into the empty gallons. I had successful filled six gallons with Rum, I had to make only two more gallons, so therefore, I continued the process and successfully made eight gallons in total.
I quickly added two tablespoon of yeast each to the gallons for easy fermentation; the fermentation process lasts for about a week but right now, our job as a brewer/wine maker was done. It was now left for the fermenting, distilling and bottling sections to make the Rum ready for consumption. We called onto our superior who helped carry the gallons away.
Lucy and Tracy had made enough spicy tomato juice for the Bloody Mary. Tracy stared at the time on her wristwatch and shook her head in disbelief. I stylishly leaned over and stared into the watch to avoid our superior's notice.
"Gosh", I screamed in my head "why does time fly so fast, 6:30 pm, no one would even be expecting this because all rooms in the winery were lightened up"
We stared vaguely at each other for over a minute until Lucy broke the silence
"Thank goodness, it's our last task for today at least it's an easy one, just to make three gallons of Bloody Mary", she murmured to us as we began to gather all ingredients.
Bloody Mary is actually an alcoholic cocktail drink which is served with a glass filled with ice cubes, but what we were to make was different because Supreme Vino Ltd. was the only winery organization that makes bottled cocktail, the gallons were to be filled with Bloody Mary liquid and no ice in it.
The Supreme bottlers will then bottle, label and package the liquids into wine bottles ready for sale, in which the buyers when wanting to consume the content will just grab a glass and moisten it's rim with salt, fill it up with ice cubes and then pour in the already made cocktail liquid into the glass and consume it up. This was easy and less stressful for people because they wouldn't have to stress themselves in making the cocktail.
Tracy had already uncorked the six bottles of Vodka that was in the buckets. I quickly filled the cocktail shaker with ice cubes, tomato juice, Vodka, Worcestershire sauce, grounded black pepper and Tabasco sauce. I covered and shook for thirty seconds till the outside of the shaker had frosted. I slowly strained the Bloody Mary into the large-size bowl.
I continued this process for over an hour and half until the liquid in the bowl was able to fill a gallon. This was a very hard task but we three made it a little easier as we were each holding a cocktail shaker. After some hours of hard work, we were able to finish our final task for the day. It was now 9:00 pm on the dot as we moved towards the shelf to take our belongings.
"Time to go right", I said to my assistants
"Yh but we have to get our reward"
"Hmm, what reward?"
"One bottle drink from the bottling superior or weren't you given an instruction book", Tracy replied and made a quick type on her cellphone
"Oh my God, yeah I completely forgot", I replied ack as we all moved away
"Yes, Yes, Yes, my pay has been sent", Lucy said with joy in her voice
"Yh, me too", Tracy added
"Ughm, Brenda what about you?" she asked as Lucy nodded in affirmation
"Well, I'm a daily paid brewer, I'm working part-time but I can't remember giving my bank account details to our boss. So maybe I'll have to meet her in her office for my pay", I said briefly
"That means we would have to wait for you, so we could go together to the bottling section", Lucy said and sat on a stool in the reception
"Okay", I said and moved away.
