Waking with sunlight streaming into my eyes and my temples pounding, I took a long, hot shower before downing some ibuprofen with my coffee, followed by an electrolyte replacement supplement. When I finally started to feel human again, I called Raina to let her know I wanted to discuss the estate. Surprisingly, she said she had news and was already on her way over.
Please let it be good news. I could really use some.
Five minutes later, Raina bustled inside the kitchen, talking animatedly with her hands.
“Got a hit on the Zillow listing for the estate. A rich Venezuelan businessman.” Grabbing my elbows, she stared into my eyes, her serious expression giving me pause. “He verbally agreed to pay the full listing price.”
