Chapter Seven Milly had a plan. Well, part of a plan at least. Over the last week Luke had been everything wonderful. He’d brought over an enormous load of groceries. She’d been a bit embarrassed when he’d seen the bareness of her cupboards, but he’d certainly changed that. For the first time since she’d started renting here, her small fridge held an assortment of fresh fruit and vegetables. She’d eaten meat three nights in a row. And all of it was from Luke’s generosity. Oh she believed him when he insisted he didn’t want any sort of repayment, though she was pretty sure she’d be able to talk him around to accepting her help with some of the renovations.
