The fall

In a strange turn of event, it was a gloomy week for Dave. A famous actor in Hollywood. His phone has been buzzing repeatedly, with so many calls coming in. The last time his phone buzzed this hard was when he won a Grammy. But this time around it wasn’t for a positive news.

He was going through the worst days of his life. In the past few days, he had been the talk of the town.

It all started when his estranged ex-girlfriend Lizzy, a famous actress, accused him of domestic violence on National Tv.

All news stations had reported the news including CNN. Lizzy once threatened to deal with him, but he never anticipated such a huge blackmail. She was out to tarnish his image at all cost.

When the news broke, it was his manager who first called him to turn on his Tv.

In shock, he watched his ex tell stories of an alleged assault on BBC. She then broke down crying in the middle of the interview. She had picture evidence and text messages to prove her allegations.

Dave switched off his phone and disengaged from the outside world. He isolated himself from everyone around him. The betrayal was hard to bear, and he kept asking himself how he got it all wrong.

When they first met, it was love at first sight. They both fell hard for each other. He always looked forward to feature in a movie with Lizzy and luckily for him the opportunity came. He was excited and rehearsed so well, to impress her on set.

On set, they never took their eyes off each other. They both played the Lead roles in the movie, as lovers. It was an exceptional performance, and in reality their love for each other grew.

They were on the spotlight from the first day their relationship was announced. They became an internet sensation, and were loved by their fans.

Their relationship was the biggest trending news in the industry, and their fans were rooting for them to wed.

Ironically, before the romantic spotlight, Dave was known as chronic bachelor at the age of 35, all his friends were married. He was constantly being pressured by his fans, family and friends to settle down. But Dave loved his career, more than anyone or anything else.

He has been in the industry for 11 years, and had become a household name, with many endorsements deals, both National and international.

He dated lots of women both in and out of the industry, but his relationship with Lizzy was his very first serious relationship.

Most times he played wing man for his friends, while others consulted him for referrals. That was how he got another of his popular nickname “THE PIMP”. He saw his lifestyle as a great accomplishment.

His favourite pick up line was “You smell nice”, a phrase he learnt from an old colleague in the industry.

It worked for him because whenever Dave compliments a lady using that line, she would smile uncontrollably and think of him as the playful charming guy.

As for his favourite pick up places, he enjoys going to the mall, clubs, cinemas and even wedding parties.

Each day was always different but with a sole purpose of finding his missing RIB. He was a known rib collector.

His great sense of fashion was an added bonus. He dressed to kill, and as a stylish bachelor, classy clothes were his go to. His love for fashion attracted a lot of modelling deals for him.

He hired different stylist to dress him up for events and also use personal shoppers.

This was why Dave was not too kin in settling down or entering into any serious relationship.

Each time he met a lady, he would opened his mind to a lot of possibilities. But it was always a ship rack, not even Rose from Titanic would survive it.

He once believed in true love and also the concept of “happily ever after”, but experience, thought him otherwise. He fell prey to the most vicious ladies who used him and took his love for granted.

He decided to go with flow. He was no longer a proponent of true love. Women had nothing to offer. To him, they were indecent beings flocking around looking for preys.

But the story changed when he met Lizzy. He gave love a chance. He loved her passionately, and was never afraid to display his love for her.

Going on Tv, to make false accusations against him was the ultimate betrayal. After a year together, he regrets all the time they spent together. He wanted a second chance, but it’s obvious She has moved on.

He was now the topic of discussion in all the news. And just when he thought the news had faded a little, Lizzy went on a rally with other domestic violence victims, calling him out.

He was losing deals and endorsements fast, and that got him pissed off. So he reluctantly granted a Tv interview.

Everybody both home and abroad tuned in to hear his own side of the story, but he had no intention of sugar coating his story, he was going to say it as it is.

His manager had warned him not to be harsh, because the news was still fresh and under investigation.

But he already made up his mind on what to say. Not only had Lizzy lied against him, she had also over exaggerated the whole story, to get public sympathy.

It’s true he cheated. She caught him cheating on her with another actress. She was enraged and started calling him names, threatening to kill him for betraying her. She rushed into the kitchen and grabbed a knife, and he immediately tackled her, and took the knife away from her. That was how she sustained the injuries she displayed on Tv. All through the episode, Dave kept begging her for forgiveness but she refused to calm down. She later walked out on him and threatened to deal with him.

He decided to give her some space to calm down, before begging her again. But few days later the disturbing news came out and he felt devastated.

With so much anger, He was out for her.

“The gist” news station was one of the most controversial celebrity news televisions in LA. They had quite a reputation in digging dirts on all celebrities.

They knew “who, what, where and when”. They operated with many underground reporters who spends all day following celebs about.

They mount their cameras like predators looking for preys, and can go to the extent of searching celebrity waste bins, hotel rooms etc, just to get information. It was once reported that they hacked into an actor’s email, and aired his private messages on social media. The actor in turn took them to court and sued for damages.

They were also the ones that interviewed Lizzy on her domestic violence allegation against Dave.

So when they approached him to grant them an interview, He immediately accepted and turned down other offers. He was ready to spill some dirt.

At the interview, He appeared calm and relaxed, but one can see his anger through his eyes.

After explaining how the relationship ended, he immediately changed the subject and started spilling the beans.

He left no stone unturned. He called Lizzy a cheap gold digger and a disgrace to women. He said, Lizzy’s career was already sinking, before he met her. That was why she quickly agreed to date him.

He stated further that, he owes no one any apology for the evidence Lizzy, concocted. Saying it was just her usual way of destroying people’s lives. But the major blow was when he said that “it would please him if she was actually a victim of domestic violence".

Viewers immediately started reacting, as phone lines were buzzing. Dave did not care one bit. he felt satisfied and ready to leave. So he concluded by saying that ladies in general were evil, and advised all men to avoid relationships in general and go for baby mamas.

After that interview, Dave’s career began floating and sinking down the drain.

He wallowed in depression for 3 months, before deciding to resurrect his almost dead career and make a change in his life.

He went ahead to became a producer, with the help of his rich friends who invested in his movie .

He made an epic come back into the industry, by producing record breaking movie, which earned him multiple awards and Accolades.

He learnt his lesson the hard way, but his hatred for women still remains the same.
