Commander Violet Walker. The words repeated in her mind. She was trying to get used to them but still hadn’t quite managed that. She walked across the vast interior of the ship she commanded. A bulky and heavily armed ship very much not build for winning beauty contests. It did not exist to be admired and gawked at. It existed to destroy. Much like Violet herself. She couldn’t help but compare herself to it. It was to her mind a perfect match. She had named the ship Abaddon. A name from ancient Earth myths. It seemed appropriate.
