With the rising sun came the reveal of significant changes to the seemingly mostly abandoned city. Vibrant violent flashes of color broke the lifeless monotony they’d gotten used to. Reds. Yellows. Oranges. A dark bruise like purple. Dotted throughout the cityscape a wide variety of unusual life sprung up. Vines, flowers and fruits. A plethora of shapes entirely alien to their concept of nature but very much alive. A startlingly sweet scent filled the air. It was reminiscent of the smell of blood with a slight subtle touch of something like vanilla. A rich aroma Violet couldn’t think of a comparison that fully fit it. It just too far outside her frame of reference. So unlike anything she’d smelled before. It was somewhat like decay but also very much not. It was like watching an eldritch
