Mara was standing beside Manuel's desk, arranging several documents.
"Good morning," Gabby said as she walked into the office.
Mara looked up at her.
Their eyes met briefly, but Mara said nothing.
Gabby waited for a second before walking further into the room.
"Is Manuel busy?"
Mara returned her attention to the documents.
"He'll be back shortly."
"Oh."
Gabby sat down.
Usually, Mara would have smiled or made some casual remark, but today, there was nothing.
Gabby tried not to think much about it.
Perhaps Mara was simply having a bad morning.
Few minutes later, Manuel returned from a meeting.
"Mara."
"Yes, sir?"
"Have the documents from accounting been sent to my email?"
"Yes."
"Good."
He removed his jacket and placed it over the back of his chair.
