The Culprit

Jacob arrived at the office and immediately opened all the documents that came in that day. Today he has to deal with all the big cases that came to his firm on the same day, since yesterday Roderick has closed all cases, Roderick has been working hard since yesterday to solve them all.

Roderick had also shared several small cases with junior lawyers. They are paid to handle minor cases. Jacob put down the document he was reading, a document regarding a land dispute in the San Jose area... and took out his cell phone. He forgot to tell Margy about what happened at Roderick's house.

Jacob dialed Margy's number. Shortly after, the call was connected.

"Margy! I'm already at the office."

"Where are you now?"

"At home. I was watching with Maria and Robby, we watched the netflix marathon...there's a Harry Potter movie here!"

"How?" Jacob repeated. "Margy! You go somewhere else, maybe this conversation isn't good for the two kids to hear, after all they are still traumatized." Jacob asked.

"Oh okay." There was no sound from his call with Margy, not long... Margy answered. "I'm already in the room, come on now tell me what happened!"

"I went to Roderick and Molly's house...as you know...maybe Molly already knew my intentions. She said that this case had something in it, but she didn't want to interfere. Roderick and I asked her to answer our questions, but Molly puts a condition that she only wants to answer the questions that are asked of her...she doesn't want to explain anything and she has the right to refuse to answer any questions she deems inappropriate." Obviously Jacob.

"Then what happened? What did he say?" Margy asked curiously.

"I asked if the yellow hooded man did it, Molly said... Yes. Then I asked why there is no video footage showing the yellow hooded man coming out of the restaurant? Molly said the man was in the restaurant when we arrived.. . even when you went in to wake Maria and Robby, the culprit was still inside! Molly told me that the culprit had just come out of the restaurant at Manuella's funeral."

"What!! So he attended Manuella's funeral too?" Margy was shocked by what she heard.

"Yeah that guy seems a bit phsyco!" Jacob answered. "Then after attending the funeral, the man returned to the restaurant and left the restaurant shortly..."

"And the guy's still wearing the yellow hoodie?"

"No Molly said. She might have changed."

"Then what happened? That means....is there any chance that man is still Manuella's brother?" Margy was confused and panicked at the information she had just heard.

"Molly said no. Manuella has no relatives or relatives living here."

"Then who is he? Why did he even dare to stay in the restaurant?...and my God! Maria and Robby almost threatened me with a gun! He was holding a gun!" Margy said half hysterically.

"Calm down Margy, I've been thinking that way too. I feel Molly is hiding something, she didn't explain anything after that. I asked Roderick to approach Molly... maybe with Roderick's way, Molly can open up!"

"Hummmm....sorry to break your optimism! But no way! My brother is quite stubborn, he won't work if he is seduced by Roderick." Reply to Margy.

"Hey! We're talking about Roderick! That man is famous for his female conquering moves! No woman is immune to his charms."

"Then how's it going?" Margy asked in a curious tone.

"Yeah, I hope so too. Jacob! Don't you realize that today is 3 days before our wedding planning in Vegas?"

"Yeah that's what frustrates me too! Until now, if this case isn't over.... How can we go to Vegas and get married?" Jacob replied in an annoyed tone. "All my hard work to marry you... failed again, because of this case! After this I don't want to handle big cases anymore! I'll leave everything to the juniors in the office!" Jacob said in a tone that sounded very annoyed.

"Hehehe maybe it was the ordeal!" Margy replied. "Okay I'll close this connection first huh! I suddenly want to eat!"

"Okay! I hope... I'll be there before noon, have fun at home!"

"I will"

"Margy?"

"Yes?" Margy replied confused.

"I love you!" said Jacob.

"Hehehe I love you too!" Margy hung up.

Jacob hung up the phone and put it on the edge of the table, he had to go through some paperwork again and decide who would handle these cases.

He and Roderick have a total of 25 junior lawyers under the auspices of his Word, if the case is not too big, he will give the case to the junior lawyer, but if this case is very large in scale... he or Roderick will handle it himself.

Currently, Jacob is still focused on the Manuella case, he doesn't want to be bothered with other cases... and Roderick, he will handle the cases that come when there is a big case. Roderick opened the door to his study. Roderick arrived wearing his work clothes earlier.

"Why did you come to work? I told you, you just take the day off!" Jacob said confused.

Roderick walked over and sat down at Jacob's desk.

"Trust me, I've done everything I can... I've been thinking hard! How to seduce Molly and actually so to speak! I've been pretty successful, but what a stubborn Molly bastard. You know! After everything I've done to her, she just said that the answer is not her! If you want to solve the case, ask Maria! You were asked to ask this woman about this and ask what happened?" Roderick said imitating Molly's words.

"Maria?" Jacob asked in disbelief, "what does Maria have to do with this case?"

"I don't know, Molly said that. Then she said, what you asked Maria...you were told to say, when you know everything and Molly added, sometimes lying isn't always bad. I don't even know what Jacob means! But I I swear Molly was talking like that."

"So you mean Molly, I have to ask Maria and ask her...what happened and say that I already knew everything...right? Molly asked me to lie, she asked me to pretend I knew everything. That's the catch? How? "

"Yeah maybe like that!" Roderick replied nonchalantly. "Believe me Jacob! I really did all I could to seduce him, but that's all I got.

Jacob smiled broadly. "Yeah yeah, I know Molly is a complicated girl. You've been patient and great with her all this time!"
