Roderick walked quickly through the downtown San Jose California area, to be precise along with N. San Pedro St. Head for a Mexican restaurant La Pinata. No, he's not seeing one of his supermodel girlfriends, Roderick has more urgent reasons on a cloudy morning in San Jose City. Mrs. Mallory Citral Elizabeth, her client worked as an additional chef at the restaurant, and Roderick had to meet with the 35-year-old woman, to discuss ongoing cases.
La Pinata restaurant, looks quite deserted at this time, at 9.30 am - it's too early to eat a meal full of spices and fat typical of this restaurant. Only four customers were seen enjoying their dishes at their respective tables. Roderick enters the restaurant and walks to a table by the corner window of the room, he calls a waiter and orders the breakfast menu by default.
A few minutes later, there was a plate serving Chilaquiles Rojos in front of him, a typical breakfast menu containing eggs, tortilla chips, onions, tomatoes and ended with cheese toppings. The dish that looked tantalizing, smelled like a Mexican dish was only seen with a flat face - Roderick drank the glass of Red Sangria Romance he ordered.
"Can you call Mrs. Mallory, Miss?" Roderick said to the waiter who finished staring at the dish on his table. The servant was wearing a white apron with a peach-colored uniform
"Molly? ... Oh ... Sure!" The young servant replied and left Roderick who was still staring at his Chilaques Rojos. The waiter walked cheerfully towards the bar table serving drinks.
Ten minutes waiting for the client who never came from the kitchen where he worked - Roderick had finished all his orders, even intending to order additional sangria which was finally canceled when he saw the figure of Mrs. Mallory coming out of the restaurant kitchen door, still in her chef uniform.
"Mrs. Mallory!" Greet Roderick, standing up from his chair and holding out a hand to be shaken, Mallory nodded and sat right in front of Roderick, ignoring Roderick's hand that was still stretched out on the table.
"Call me Molly, Please!" He replied briefly and smiled faintly, "I told Mr. Hawkin !! Make an appointment in advance to see me, my schedule is really busy. Unlike you, even though you stay at home all day getting millions of dollars in transfers every day, I have to work to support myself! " He continued long and curt
"Whooooo ... Okay ... My fault!" Reply Roderick raised his hands forward, a sign of regret. Better to give in to this quirky client, so that all the information he needs right now can be obtained easily.
"What do you want?" Molly continued, looking at the entire contents of the restaurant, her eyes reluctant to stare at the handsome lawyer in front of her.
"Your explanation! Mr. Fernando also sues you for kidnapping Sofia Raine Fernando, your daughter. You have to explain details to me about your household, Sofia, and the strange accusation that you are a witch"
"Wait for me after work !! I'll be home in two hours!" Mallory's figure stood up gracefully and strolled into the kitchen. Her pale white face looked flat with no expression as she left Roderick who was dumbfounded by the strange behavior of his client.
"She asked me to wait another two hours?" Roderick repeated softly when he was alone, "she told me to wait two hours?" He said again in disbelief, "don't let Jacob find out, he can tease me out later," Roderick thought and ordered another glass of red Sangria which had run out a few minutes ago.
At exactly noon, Molly walked out of the kitchen, dressed in her casual clothes. Baggy black trousers and worn-out blue t-shirt, her long black hair let loose, made her pale-white face look even paler.
"We're talking at the coffee shop across!" Said Molly and walked quickly in front of Roderick. Confused by the treatment he received, Roderick followed the rhythm of Molly's brisk walk, "walk behind women !! What character assassination !!" His mind is upset.
The famous coffee shop in front of him was already crammed with patrons buying hot coffee in this slightly cloudy weather, "How ridiculous California has gotten so often cloudy these days!" Roderick thought as he waited for his and Molly's drink order. The woman has already occupied a two-seat table not far from the entrance.
"Here, your double espresso!" Said Roderick as he handed over the hot mug filled with Molly's order, and he sat in front of Molly.
"Please start! What do you want to know?" Asked Molly as she sipped her hot coffee, her cheeks blushing a little bit a second ago, or maybe an eye illusion? Roderick wasn't sure what he saw. The woman sitting opposite him had too many mysteries.
"First, about Sofia. Mr. Fernando accuses you of kidnapping or hiding your own child, and he said the day before his disappearance, Sofia looks sick!" Obviously, Roderick looked at Molly's pale face, which was slightly lowered and covered in strands of black hair while drinking her coffee.
"Are you stupid? Or .. Playing dumb?" She answered softly with an expressionless face, "The person who was the sickest and sad when Sofia disappeared was me - I cried all day thinking about her! Sofia is a healthy child, she was not sick the last time I was with her, but her face was really pale - like me!"
"This case could get you behind bars, Molly, so please cooperate. Your request for divorce will be granted because both parties have agreed - but still, have custody issues! While your child is missing, either kidnapped or hidden, your case is complicated Molly!" Exclaimed Roderick exhaling violently.
"Hmm ..." Molly sighed looking as frustrated as Roderick, "I think I know where Sofia is, but I can't take it - for sure ... She's in good health."
"What do you mean?" Roderick asked in shock, "even the police intelligence has not been able to trace your daughter's whereabouts!"
"Hmm ... Turns out you are not very smart ..." Molly muttered softly.
"Aa !! What do you mean ?!" Asked Roderick irritated and raised. Was the woman in front of him the same species as his best friend Jacob? Only Jacob dared to tease her like that.
"You forgot ... Fred's accusations against me?" Mallory asked, looking sarcastically at the reliable lawyer. The woman looked at Roderick's appearance from top to bottom. Roderick, who was currently feeling intimidated by the sight of his client, only pretended to be cool sipping his drink.
"The accusations? ... You are a witch?" Roderick asked sarcastically. Meanwhile, Molly raised her right eyebrow and smiled mysteriously.
"Do you believe that Mister logical?"
"Is this your joke?" He asked in surprise.
"You don't need to know whether I'm a witch or not - your job is to solve my case, my divorce, and custody !!" Molly sternly looked sarcastically at Roderick. The woman has an aura that makes Roderick a little embarrassed, so far Roderick continues to give in and be patient with what he receives.
Maybe the woman in front of him has a psychological slack or a way of thinking full of imagination. Could there be a magician in this digital era?
