She raised the inhaler with trembling fingers. Her hand shook so badly she nearly dropped it. Jessica stepped closer, careful. "I'm going to help you use it, " Jessica said. "Okay? I'm not going to take it from you. I'm not going to do anything dramatic. Just __ just breathe with me." Sera's eyes were wild. "I can't __" Jessica took a breath and exaggerated it. In through the nose. Out through the mouth. Sera tried. It came out as a wheeze. Jessica glanced towards the intake desk. Halden hadn't moved. But the air felt thicker now.
