The corridor felt narrower than before. Jessica and Micah moved quickly but carefully, following the hand drawn map Mara had given them. The paper was folded tightly in Jessica's grip, its pencil marks already smudging under the sweat of her palm. The building breathed. Jessica could feel it now. Walls that had seemed fixed earlier had shifted slightly. A corner they had passed minutes before now angled differently, as if the structure itself was recalculating. Micah glanced behind them.
