Lynn's POV: My heart skips a beat as Dr. Elara's words sink in. "Lynn, Alan is stable enough for visitors now. Would you like to see him?" A tidal wave of emotions crashes over me - relief, anxiety, longing, fear. I struggle to form words as my mind races. "R-really? I can see him?" Dr. Elara nods, her kind eyes crinkling at the corners. "Yes, he's made good progress. But remember, he's still in a fragile state." I twist my hands in my lap, torn between excitement and apprehension. Part of me wants to leap up and run to Alan this instant. But another part hesitates, remembering his volatile moods, and the hurt he's caused. "How is he?" I ask softly. "I mean, how is he really?"
