He noticed my correction. He raised an eyebrow at me, "Was?" I waved my hand, "Nevermind. We'll figure that out later."
"You don't understand how powerful the blood moon is. If I had known it was a blood moon I never would have had you around me." He looked sincerely down at me, "I don't want to make excuses for being weak like that but it's the truth. The guy you saw that wasn't me. That was the monster and I hate that you ever saw that side of me."
I leaned my back on the brick wall of my apartment, trying not to let my facial expressions show what I was thinking.
I didn't give two shits if Odinn Irvine was a vampire, the only thing I was furious about was that he wasn't honest with me. My trust in him was crushed into pieces.
I crossed my arms, glaring at him, "What's your relationship with Ronnie?" I rolled my eyes at her name.
"Ronnie has been there for me for ages and helped me tame the monster at the start of my second life. We're friends but nothing more."
I nodded, "You two... Always look…. Comfortable… whenever I see you two together.. " I narrowed my dark eyes at him.
"Like I said Ronnie has been a great friend for many years. She is actually married to Jack at the bar. Poor bastard cause Ronnie is very hard to deal with." Odinn smiled, "Ronnie is a vampire as well… Sort of…. She's a half-vampire half-metamorphling."
He must have seen the confusion on my face, "She can change her appearance at will mainly when she wants to intimidate someone. She gives herself the appearance of a dragon, " Odinn laughed softly, shaking his head, "Not a very good dragon as she can't breathe fire but she has the scales... They are red, claws and a temperament of one."
"She can... Change into a dragon? " My jaw dropped.
"It's what she likes to call it. It is mainly just scales and claws but if I told her she wasn't a dragon then I wouldn't have a heart. Literally."
"Note to self don't piss her off… Got it."
Odinn laughed at me, then cleared his throat and got back to the subject at hand, "But anyway Amora, I just wanted to apologize and I know I don't have any right to ask for favors after what I did but I would very much appreciate it if you didn't tell anyone about me or the bar. It could get.... dangerous." He looked over my shoulder, through the window at Bryn who was scowling at him and tapping her watch.
"I'm sorry as well, for running out on you. Nobody knows why. Or will ever know it's not my secret to tell." I kissed his cheek out of reflex and walked into my apartment, "I'll call you later."
