I was barely through the door when Bryn rounded on me. “What was that all about?” She asked as she folded her arms at me. I smiled to myself as I shut and locked the front door,
“Nothing.” I mumbled and sat back down on the couch grabbing my almost empty coffee cup.
"That wasn't nothing! I saw the way he looked at you and you kissed him!" She exclaimed at me raising her hands up as she spoke.
I shook my head at her, trying not to smile at her, "I kissed his cheek... so what?"
"So everything. I thought you were over this guy now your sending mixed messages." Bryn stays standing arms folded in annoyance.
I sighed deeply, putting down my cup, "Right now... I am conflicted, I am only human." I slouched back into the couch.
"Exs are exs for a reason so remember why you left him! He obviously did something to hurt you.” She sighed at me as she sat down next to me.
"He didn't hurt me or anything... I just found out something... that surprised me.." I said somewhat seriously.
"I just don't want you to get hurt again, especially by him." She glanced at me.
"I thought you were cheering for us? I vaguely remember you saying something about you wanting us to be end game...?" I smirked at her softly.
"I do think you guys are end game but I care about you and I saw how hurt you were. I don't want you to get your hopes up only for it to happen again. Cause I will cut his balls off if he tries it again.”
"I hardly doubt you could." I muttered softly as I sipped my coffee. "Pfft. Okay, no guy is safe from me." Bryn laughed at me, grabbing her coffee.
She left after an hour when I told her I had to do some things. After she left I showered and dressed in black leggings and a black tank top and pulled my long black hair into a high ponytail.
I sent a message to Odinn saying I would stop by the bar tonight around 7. I didn't have to wait long for a response from him saying "can't wait".
I fidgeted and checked the time. 3:43pm. Still got a few hours to kill. I started cleaning up around my house trying to distract myself. By the time I had finished the laundry and did an online shop the clock said it was 5:28pm.
"f**k it I'm just going to go early." I said to myself fed my gray and white cat, Gracie, “Momma has to do some things, I’ll see you later.” I told her.
Gracie meowed at me and rubbed across my legs and I smiled at her, “I’ll be back later, sweetie-pie.” I said as I petted her grey head then pulled on my black shoes, grabbed my cross-body purse, and went outside and locked up.
I sighed deeply considering if this was the right thing to do before I started walking. My feet automatically going the path I've done a thousand times only this time I know its not just some dingy bar at the end of the journey. It's a blood thirsty vampire and yet no matter what my instincts screamed I couldn't help but smile at the thought of being in Odinn's arms again.
