I sensed her enter my bar, Fangs. I walked to the main room from the kitchen and saw her at the dark red bar, ordering a drink. I weaved around the customers and got to her side within seconds, “Hi darling.” I whispered in her ear.
Her eyelashes fluttered as I spoke and she turned her head to me, “Hi, handsome.” She said smiling at me. The scent of her made the monster inside me growl. I was thrilled I had fed beforehand.
I forced a smile and glanced down at her, “How was your day?” I asked as I sat down on the barstool next to her.
“It was good, I shopped, did laundry and now I am here. I needed a drink.”
"So you humaned today, then?" I chuckled and held up a finger to the person behind the bar who poured my drink without being asked to. All the staff know my preferred poison of choice was a whiskey on the rocks.
"I did, yes. How was your day?" Amora sipped her drink as he eyed me.
"Ran the bar, broke up a fight between a human and a vamp, sorted out the supply list for the restock order. Went out for lunch." I smiled at her and flashed my fangs for a split second. A small part of me hoped she'd be scared of my fangs and what I meant by lunch but she didn't even react.
"So you vamped today then?" She said to me, utterly unfazed by the fangs. I nodded at her, shrugging slightly.
Amora looked up at me, her dark eyes sparkling by the bar lights, "Still on the clock?" She asked me.
"I'm the owner of the bar I'm always on the clock doesn't mean I can't enjoy a drink with a beautiful woman though." I smirked and threw my head back a bit to get a strand of hair out of my face.
"The bar does close at 2 am though if you'd like to stick around for a bit." I said and stared into her dark gorgeous eyes.
"I wonder who the beautiful woman is..." Amora downed her drink, "Another, Jack." Jack, the bartender refilled her glass with a small smile at Amora.
"Put it on my tab." I said lazily to him and he nodded at me and I grabbed the drink before she could, walking over to a table by the tinted windows. I set it down on one side and slid into the opposite booth.
"Oh hey! I can pay for my drinks, thank you very much." Amora tried to grab the drink out of my hand but of course, I was faster, "Come on, slow poke.” I said over my shoulder, giving her a smile.
