Hugo’s POV: In the morning, Sophia kept to herself. I didn’t want to upset her more than she already was, so I left her to her thoughts. Before I left our den, she kissed me on the cheek, handed me my paperwork, and left. I hung my head in shame. I prayed to the Moon Goddess to help clear a path for us. Silent prayers fall on deaf ears. But yet, I prayed. My Thursday sucked. With Sophia sad and upset, the day seemed cold and long.
