King Alpha Nero's POV:
I stayed out all night watching over Mya. General Ezra mind-linked me and said Domina had put Mya on work detail. I planned to go in there, snatch her, and make a run for it. But my plan failed. I heard Mya scream for me. I watched them beat her. Just when I was about to run in and get her, Mya had shifted into Artic. I knew Domina was doing it on purpose. She knew I would come. When Artic looked at me with reassurance, I stood back. I heard Domina's taunts. Archimedes knew better. We weren't going to play her game. Mira entered my office and looked at me with eagerness. I, on the other hand, looked at her with ignominy. "Any luck?" she asked with a shrug.
"I was so close, Mira. So close," I said through gritted teeth.
"We will get her," Mira reassured.
