My morning was going off without a hitch so far. I was seated at the newly assigned table in the chow hall, listening to the others talk.
“The reaping was crazy,” Hugo blurted out.
"Did you see what Obsidian did? I almost puked," Eliza chimed in.
Alexander and I looked at each other. Then I glanced over to the empty spot where Noel sat yesterday. “I miss Noel already,” I said, feeling bummed. Sophia rubbed my back.
"I’m glad he got out. He’s a good kid," Jake said, smiling at me.
