The Recovery

Chapter 3

She quickly rushed and brought the first aid kit and then treated him. When she was done, she covered it with bandage and plaster, and then asked him what happened to him. He told her that he licked a banana, and forgot to throw it into the waste bin, cause he was feeling sleepy. Few hours later he became suddenly pressed and forgot that the peel was still on floor. As he was heading to the toilet he slipped, fell down and hit his head on the chair where he was sitting. After narrating the story, the doctor broke into laughter. George wondered why she was laughing. The doctor looked at him again and continued laughing, when she was done, she told him to always keep his surroundings clean. She helped him up and told him to wait for her. She returned with a nice shirt and a short for him, and told him to be careful, not to hurt his head. George appreciated and waved goodnight. Then she returned home, while George went to the bathroom, took his bath and put on the clothes she gave him.

The next morning, Mr. Mike was surprised to see George in bandage. George then narrated his story to him. Mr. Mike also laughed at him, which George wondered why that was necessary anytime he narrates his story. Few minutes later, the doctor came and attended to Engr. Benson and to George, whom she always laughs at whenever she sees him. Not quite long after the doctor attended to them,Engr. Benson coughed. Mr. Mike rushed to call the doctor. But before they could get there, he was already awake laughing at Goerge, who told him his story after a short while of recovery. The doctor told them to get food for him so as to eat and rest. Mr. Mike went to buy the food while George stayed back entertaining and telling him how every one felt about what happened to him.

When Mr. Mike came back, he gave Engr. Benson the food. While he was still eating, he called Mr. Mike and George, pleading with them not to inform his wife about what happened to him. They found what he said as a very hard task, because his wife has called many times asking them what had happened to him, that he was not picking her calls. Mr. Mike asked him to tell them reasons why they would not inform neither the wife nor the children about what had haooen to him. Engr. Benson told them that his wife is a type of woman who worries alot and she will be disturbed, thereby also making his kids worried and uncomfortable. He also told them that she might even come back to the capital city and its alot of money travelling from China to the capital city. He also told Mr. Mike to Inform each and every member of the bank the in struction he has given.

The next day, Mr. Mike organised an online meeting with each and every member of the bank. He told them how their boss Engr. Benson was feeling and when he would be discharged. He told them all the instruction that Engr. Benson has given to them and the reasons for that. Some questions were thrown to him during the meeting, but he answered only the reasonable ones. He also appreciated them for their efforts and prayers towards their boss. He urged them to get ready, for their work which would commence the next day.

Few days later, Engr. Benson was discharged from the hospital. George on the other side, was asked to stay back few more days to receive proper treatment before being discharged. When he got home, he took his bath, ate and took a nap. When he woke up, he called his wife , although she was upset with him, she answered the call. After all the explanations and confessions, she forgave him and promised not to comeback or tell the kids about anything, and life moved on. So the next day, he decided to visit the bank. When he got there, everybody welcomed warmly including the outsiders who knew about the incident . He was surprised on what he saw, the way they welcomed him. Then he decided to have meeting with all the workers in his office.
