The Proposal And Marriage

Chapter 5

The next day, he travelled back to the capital city. That evening, he called Mira, telling her his idea of them visiting his parents so as to introduce her to them. Mira accepted immediately, because she always wanted to have someone that will treat her like their daughter, cause she is an orphan who grew up with her aunt. She made arrangements in her hospital and put one of her employee in control before she would come back, while George took permission directly from Engr. Benson. The upper week, they both travelled to Miami. George's parents welcomed them and treated Mira like an egg that might c***k in the next minute. After the introduction, the father quitely called George to another place, asking him when he would propose to her. George told him that he has plans for that. Few hours later, they waved goodbye and travelled back to the Capital city.

When they got back, George thought on how to propose to her. Firstly, he thought of the venue, how to make her come to the place. And did not think of any good one. So he consulted Engr. Benson, Mr. Mike and his parents on what to do. After all the contributions, they arrived at a perfect plan. George then made arrangement, bought the engagement ring, payed for the venue and some people to perform some roles on that day. He also made the proposal to go the Internet, so that his patents can see, and also for his mates to see a new proposal strategy.

That faithful day, at 11:45am. Mira was in her office when a call came. She picked it, and it was a man (Engr. Benson), he told her that he was George's boss, and he haven't seen George since that day, and his phone was not reachable. Mira promised to call him. When he hanged the call, she tried calling him (George), and it was not reachable. She became worried. She tried it again, but this time, he picked the call. She asked him what was going on, but to the sounds of things it seemed that he was in danger and was not breathing well. She became so anxious. And immediately, the call was hanged. Another call came in, this time, it was an old woman's voice asking her if she was the friend to a banker named George. She answered. The old woman told her that he was shot dead, and directed her to the location to carry his corpes. Mira screamed and rushed to that place. When she got there she saw his body lying lifeless on the floor. She held his hand,and was crying. As she was crying, she opened her eyes and saw a paper beside him,with an inscription "WILL YOU MARRY ME". Mira was shocked in what she saw. She wiped her eyes and went to pick the paper. As she picked the paper, she turned and saw George kneeling down with a ring. Surprised,she felt embarrassed because of the cameras. She accepted and every body clapped for them cause the plan went well. George, also apologized for that kind of heart disturbing drama displayed.

The marriage ceremony was later planned. It was a memorable and joyful day in both George and Mira's life. Everything was beautiful, starting from the venue, to the food, to the decoration and then to the marriage colour. George's parents also came for the wedding ceremony. George's co-workers also came, Mira's employees came, their cousins, uncles, aunts, friends, relatives and well wishers. Jason and his patents were also present there on that day. After the vows they danced, drank, ate and made merry.

After the wedding ceremony, everybody went home to their different destinations while Mira went home packed her stuffs and went to George's house. A flight ticket was later book by George for his parents, Jason and Jason's parents. When Jason got home, he became more jealous of George, his mother would always advice him to do anything that would make him rich, more richer than George. Although his father doesn't tell him anything, he always left him to live any life he wants to live. So this made Jason to think of what to do make George's life miserable
