MAYA Xander’s growl rumbled low in his chest as Nanny sprang to her feet once more. Her small frame advanced on him without hesitation. His dark eyes narrowed, and his lips curled back over teeth that seemed too sharp for the boyish face I’d once trusted. “You dare interrupt?” he hissed.
