MAYA Kael’s eyes were filled with fury as he emerged. I got myself out of their hold and rushed toward him. Without thinking, I hugged him. I felt his hand hugging me back as he softly grabbed my waist. I looked up to meet his eyes, and I may have seen regret in them.
