MIRIAM "Terra," I whispered. "You're late!" she accused, but her eyes were sparkling with mischief and affection. I laughed, remembering our old routine. Back then, Terra would sneak into my room every night after evening prayers and sneak out before dawn. She had never liked the girl she was forced to share a bunk with after I left.
