It got quiet so I could tell that they left but I was still trying to calm myself. It took a couple of breaths but I let him go, he stayed for a minute before stepping away from me. I didn't look at him but I could feel his gaze on me, I needed more time to calm my nerves before I can look at him. Taking a deep breath, I turned my head to him and glanced at his face.
He took that as a notion to talk “I’m sorry.” He apologized “I didn’t mean for-”
I put my hand over his mouth to stop him, I didn’t feel like being rejected so I shook my head “Don’t.” I sighed and waited for him to nod “Let’s just-let’s just go before I do something you’ll regret.” I grumbled.
He furrowed his eyebrows and slowly pulled my hand from his mouth, he stared at me with a look I couldn’t figure out. It disappeared and was replaced with a smile, he pulled me into his side and started to lead me to his car. I stepped away from him and sped up a little.
He pulled me back and turned me to face him “You don’t know-”
I moved away from his touch “Just don’t touch me.” I breathed, he looked hurt but nodded “It’s not like that.” I assured him “I just don’t know if we’ll make it to the car if you do.” I explained without looking at him.
“Well I can’t not touch you.” He stated in an obvious tone that made my eyes snap to his face “You tend to zone out and bump into things.” He said more like scolded.
I furrowed my eyebrows then relaxed my face “That won't’ happen,” I looked him over before turning away “I’m very alert right now.” I grumbled.
He stared at me before turning his head away and rubbing his cheeks while mumbling something. He turned to me again and motioned for me to follow him and it was a seven minute silent walk to the parking lot. I sighed in relief when I saw Sandy and Yoo Hae-In leaning on a Red Dodge Charger, they both were startled when the alarm sounded. They looked over and saw us coming their way.
“Well, that was quick.” Sandy chimed, I ignored her and got into the car when Joon unlocked it.
I put my seatbelt on “It was a let down, huh?” She asked sympathetically. I turned around and sent her a dark glare and she held her hands up in defense.
“Where are we going again?” I asked Joon as I fold my arms and leaned on the car door.
He glanced at me “I Love Korea.” He answered before glancing in the rear view mirror “Hae-In’s family owns the place so we get to eat for free.” He added.
“Is it a buffet?” Sandy asked loudly.
“No.” Yoo Hae-In answered, “It’s a restaurant that serves traditional Korean foods and has a sushi bar.” He added.
She hummed and in less than 5 minutes, we pulled up to a little restaurant that had I Love Korea on the side. We all got out and went in. I thanked Yoo Hae-In when he opened the second door for us, I fold my arms and observed the place as I waited for the rest of them. As soon as Joon walked in, most of the staff bowed to him. He waved his hand in dismissal and they continued on with what they were doing. Hmm, that was weird I thought as I stared at him then went back to admiring the restaurant. When Yoo Hae-In walked in after Sandy, they all did it again. He stared at them all over before saying something in Korean. They all tensed before continuing their work, Ok now that was really weird. I glanced between the two wondering what that was all about. Did they have some kind of hierarchy with their families or something?
“Follow me to my favorite table.” Yoo Hae-In said with a smile as he walked off, Joon was right behind him so Sandy and I strayed behind them. I noticed how most of the servers would look at them with caution and I was getting confused on why they would.
“Is it me or-”
“Are the servers watching them like they’ll cause a scene in a quick second?” Sandy finished with a look that mirrored mine, I nodded “Then yes, yes they are.” She agreed then frowned.
I was going to comment but we made it to Yoo Hae-In’s table which had four glasses of water out and happened to be set in the back corner which was suspicious if you ask me. Joon pulled out my seat and motioned for me to sit, I felt his gaze on me but I just ignored him. He still didn’t look away from me as we all sat and waited for a server.
“This is a nice place, Yoo Hae-in.” I compliment with a smile at him.
He bowed slightly to me, “You can call me Hae-In.” He smiled “And thanks, I’ll let my family know.” He smirked as he glanced around the room.
I returned his smile, “Alright Hae-In.” I tested, he nodded.
Sandy frowned at her menu “What’s good here?” She asked as she looked at him.
He took her menu from her and sat it on the table “I told them beforehand so we’re getting my favorites.” He explained.
“What if we don't like it?” I pouted.
He gave me an offended look before smirking “You’ll love it.” He assured.
Sandy rest her chin in her hand “But I'm allergic to seafood.” She lied with a sincere look.
I stifled my laugh but couldn't contain it when Hae-In turned to her in a panic. He gave me a confused look before catching on then turned to Sandy with a flat look. She gave him an innocent smile before looking around the room again. Before he can retort, a server came out with a long plate of round light green rolls on a lettuce. I stared at it cautiously when they sat it in front of us, I glanced at Sandy and saw her narrow her eyes at it before poking it with a chopstick.
“This is steamed dumplings.” Joon said as he grabbed one and put it on his plate then grabbed another and tried to feed me, I gave him a blank stare before taking it from his hand and taking a bite of it. It was pretty good so I kept eating it.
Hae-In moved the sauce into the middle “Try this.” He urged us as he took the sauce spoon and poured some over our plates.
Sandy and I stared at each other before sopping up the sauce with the dumplings. I stared at it before taking a smile bite, it was alright so I took a bigger bite and boy when I tell you that s**t was popping! Whaaaat! I couldn’t even hold the moan in.
Sandy moaned “This is soo good.” She smiled before pouring some more onto her dumpling.
I nodded in agreement as I did the same, I took another bite and let out another moan, It’s lit! I started dancing a little in my seat and noticed Joon was watching me with a smile, I stopped dancing and ignored him. Why am I ignoring him again? Oh yeah, I’m d**k deprived.
His smile wiped away “It’s made with soy sauce, vinegar, honey, garlic, ginger, sesame seeds, and sesame oil.” Joon revealed.
Sandy started snapping her fingers “Yaaaaas! I can cook this at the crib.” She beamed with a little dance.
I nodded in agreement and started my little dance again while eating another dumpling.
“I’m almost full.” Sandy pout.
I snorted “Light weight.” I taunted.
She threw me a playful glare and I returned it with a fake smile. I glanced up and saw 3 servers come our way with filled trays, I watched in shock as they sat the dishes in front of us.They explained what each dish was and the best way to eat it. Sandy and I nodded once we got the gist of it and said a quick prayer before picking out food.
“This is what again?” I asked as I scooped some beef and veggies onto my plate.
“Bulgogi bibimbap.” Joon answered before taking a bowl of soup and started to eat it. We all ate silently, well Sandy and I ate silently but Joon and Hae-In talked in Korean. It usually bothers me when others speak in a different language but I was still salty so I just ignored their conversation and him in all. I was reaching for some jampon and poured some into my plate, I fiddled with my chopsticks and .
“Open.” He demanded, I narrowed my eyes at him and reached for his chopsticks; he moved his hands away “Open.” He repeated as he pushed it close to my lips.
I sighed but opened my mouth, he fed me but it didn’t matter because the noodles put a smile to my face, I reached for my chopsticks but Joon smacked my hand away. I glared at him but all he did was pick up some noodles and try to feed me again, What the f**k is he doing? I stared at the noodles before opening my mouth a little so that he can feed me.
