Joon: 12.12.15
He cleared his throat and the next words that came out of his mouth made me drop the bat and gap like a fish. I couldn’t help but to look back at Hae-In and Lee, I just needed to know if Jared just said what I think he did. Lee was staring at Jared in shock but Hae-In was nearly dying in laughter.
“You did not just - was that a kpop song?” I asked with my arms folded. He turned red which made Lee die along with Hae-In.
“It’s a catchy song!” Jared defended "My sister plays it all the time." He huffed "How can I not like it." He hummed a few parts while he danced a little in his seat.
I held my hands up in surrender with a shake of my head, Jared’s going to have us here all day if we kept going the route so I decided to just end it here.
“You don’t have to remember what I told you.” I said.
He smiled at me in thanks “That’s good.” He sighed in relief “Because I forgot.” He said sheepishly.
He wasn’t getting it, oh well, I waved him off “I actually liked you, Jared.” I sighed in mock sadness then clapped my hands with a smile “Oh, well.” I pulled out my glock “Any last words?” I asked as I aimed it at his chest.
He looked at me in shock, “What are you doing?” He shrieked.
I rolled my eyes “I’m going to kill you.” I said obviously “Now, any last words?” I repeated as I checked to see if it was fully loaded.
I heard crying and looked at Jared to see that he was full out crying, whimp. He knew this was coming and yet he still cries? He started sputtering but I couldn’t understand a word. I had my finger on the trigger when I couldn’t help a grimace, What the hell was that smell?
“Dude, did you pee yourself?” Lee asked in disgust then backed away with his hand over his nose.
Jared eyes widen “What?! No!” His voice went two octaves higher, meaning he was lying.
I glanced at his pants and saw a wet stain that wasn’t there before, Hae-In and I took a step back with a grimace.
Jared threw his head back “Just kill me now.” He groaned with a whine.
I shrugged “Ok.” I said and aimed my g*n at his chest.
His eyes widen “Wait!” He shrieked.
I sighed as I lowered the g*n “What now?” I groaned then glanced at my watch “We don’t have time for your s**t, Jared. We have f*****g exams to study for and you delayed us with that stupid chase through the city since 2:30 and it’s f*****g 6:37.” I complained then walked closer to him “So whatever you’re about to say better be f*****g worth it.” I gritted as I pressed the g*n into his head.
He gulped and licked his lips “But it was fun right?” He chimed, I closed my eyes and pistol whipped him.
I opened my eyes to see him in pain with blood coming down his face, I didn’t hit him that hard.
“I know I f****d up but hear me out.” Jared said with a pleading look, nothing he says can get him out of his death and I wanted to hear his last scheme but it wasn’t my call. I sighed and glanced at Lee and Hae-In, they both shrugged meaning they didn’t care at all. I motioned him to continue with my g*n, which he tried to dodge.
“How about we make a deal?” He suggested, I kept my face blank so he went on “I’ll show you where I hid the drugs and in return you let me go?” He tried to negotiate.
“That sounds like a great idea, Jared.” Lee praised, causing me to raise an eyebrow and Jared to look up at Lee in hope “Except the fact that we already traced and retrieved the product so we really have no need for you.” Lee explained, shrugging as he typed away on his phone “So you can stop trying to hold us up and get on with those last words.” He glanced at Jared “Because we do have things to do, being college kids and all.” Lee added.
I watched as all the hope in Jared’s eyes vanished and he closed his eyes with a sigh, “Go ahead.” He said sadly.
“It was nice knowing you, Jared.” I smiled.
“f**k off, Joon.” He snarled, which only caused my smile to grow. I shot him in the head then the chest and finally the stomach, I frowned as I noticed some of his blood got onto my clothes.
“You should have shot him in his smart a*s mouth.” Lee commented as he went to untie Jared. I nodded thoughtfully before doing so, making Lee jump back and glare at me.
“Hyung!” He exclaimed “Warning next time.” He chided.
I smirked at him and mimicked him, he shot me a bird. It took us all but 35 minutes to discard his body and clean the unit. I walked out of the unit and stretched my arms over my head as I made my way to the car, I unlocked the trunk and started searching for my extra clothes.
"Hyung?" Hae-In stood next to me “Are you going to tell noona about this?” Lee asked as he gestured to the storage locker.
I wiped my hands off with a towel I found “She wouldn't believe me if I did.” I stated as I threw the towel back in the trunk.
Hae-In nodded “She wouldn't.” He agreed as he fiddled with his phone “She probably thinks you're just a regular foreign exchange student learning in The States to better your life for when you return home.” He added.
“Probably so.” I agreed with a nod then I noticed, I didn’t think about her once today. Usually she would pop up in my mind at the oddest of times, no matter what I was doing she would just pop up. Maybe it was a short phase. Maybe I was wrong about her, I thought then checked the time, 7:24.
“Your father is looking for you.” Hae-In said “He added a cash prize again.” He added with a teasing smirk.
I raised an eyebrow “Oh really now?” I smiled “How much is it?” I asked as I found a burgundy and gray long sleeve shirt and black jeans, This will do.
“Oh.” Lee drawled as he leaned on the other side of the trunk “Just a million in USD.” Lee shrugged as I unbuckled my pants.
I grimaced “A million?” I frowned playfully as I changed pants “I feel insulted.” I took my shirt off “I’m at least seven million.” I argued as I put the other one on.
Hae-In scoffed “More like thirty grand.” He said dryly.
I gasped and put my hand over my heart, “Do I look cheap to you?” I spat as I put my hat back on then threw the other clothes into the trunk.
Lee snorted as he looked around, “More like a million in won.” He snickered, making Hae-In burst with laughing.
Ok, now I was really insulted, I slammed the trunk down “Find a way home.” I turned away from them and got into the car.
They quickly got into the car before I could lock them out, I glared at them then started the car. It wasn’t seven minutes until Lee started complaining.
“Hyung, I’m hungry.” Lee whined from the back seat “Let’s get some Mickey D’s.” He pleaded.
I turned right “That’s not my problem.” I deadpan before remembering something, I looked at Hae-In, “Did you ever find out who it was?” I asked as I turned left at the stop sign.
He glanced at me “Yeah,” He nodded “I finished the job.” He added as he put his seatbelt on.
I narrowed my eyes “I wanted to speak to them.” I gritted slightly, clenching the wheel.
I could feel his stare on me for a moment “It would have taken the clean up crew a day to clean up if you killed the girl.” He pointed out, He wasn’t wrong but that’s not the point.
