29 The tension onboard the LMS Mist Queen was so thick you could almost smell it in the air. Nervous officers scurried through the hallways or sat in the mess hall talking in hushed whispers. No one wanted to go into battle. Anna didn’t blame them. She had been shot at more times than she could count, and the prospect still left her on edge. Not just because she might die.
