3 Anna followed a wide hallway to the detention area. Behind her, the Ragnosian guard plodded along with his hands up while Jack pressed the barrel of a pistol into his back. “Keep moving,” Jack urged. Keli brought up the rear. The corridor ended in a square-shaped antechamber with an open doorway on her right. When Anna peered through it, she saw a long cellblock with multiple doors in the wall to her left. “This is it,” Keli moaned. “I can feel the despair.” “Open the cells,” Anna said. The guard just stood there with a dumbstruck expression. Was he pretending not to understand? She had no time for this.
