After I told Aides everything that was going on, we sat and finished our lunch in silence. I knew that he needed time to process everything that I had just told him. Especially what I said about his mom and me coming to see him. As a mother, I couldn't even imagine not being able to see my kids. Especially for years, not thousands of years. It had to be hard on her, and knowing that her son was hurting over the loss of his mate and she couldn't help him was harder.
When lunch was done, Aides showed me around the castle. There was a lot to see, and I got a lot of curious looks as well. But Aides just ignored them and kept on walking. I'm sure that we were a sight to see, the king of hell just strolling around with a random woman with him. And her one hand tucked into his elbow
