As they reached the exact location of the Mind Stone, Lyra felt an inexplicable sensation coursing through her veins. It was as if her very cells were resonating with an otherworldly energy. Her friends gathered around her, their eyes wide with wonder. "Lyra, what's happening to you?" Astrid asked, her voice barely above a whisper. Lyra's hair began to transform, the strands shifting from their natural black to a deep, fiery red. Her eyes, already an unnerving green, glowed with an intense, ethereal light. Kael's eyes locked onto Lyra's, his expression a mix of awe and trepidation. "The Mind Stone... it's been with us all this while." Astrid's eyes widened in comprehension. "You're the Mind Stone, Lyra." Cormac's gaze darted nervously around their surroundings. "We have to leave here, now. Before any Valtorians discover this information." But it was too late. Lyra's transformation was accelerating, her body glowing with an intense, pulsating energy. The air around her seemed to ripple and distort, as if reality itself was bending to accommodate her newfound power. And then, in an instant, Lyra vanished. She reappeared a moment later, standing beside their car, which was still packed with their supplies. Her friends stared at her in shock, unsure of what to say or do. Lyra's eyes fluttered closed, and she collapsed to the ground, unconscious. Kael rushed to her side, scooping her up in his arms. "We have to get her back to Ashwood," he said, his voice low and urgent. Cormac nodded, already opening the car door. "Let's move." Astrid slid into the backseat, her eyes fixed on Lyra's peaceful face. "This changes everything," she whispered. As they drove back into Ashwood, the four friends were silent, each lost in their own thoughts. They knew that their lives would never be the same, that Lyra's transformation had set them on a path from which there was no return. The car pulled up to the mansion, and Kael carefully extracted Lyra from the backseat. He carried her inside, laying her down on the couch. As they gathered around her, Lyra's eyes flickered open. She looked up at her friends, a faint smile on her lips. "What... what happened?" she whispered. Kael's eyes locked onto hers, his expression soft with concern. "You're the Mind Stone, Lyra. And everything is about to change." As they arrived in Ashwood, Kael carefully carried Lyra to her house, laying her down on the couch. "She needs to rest," he said, his eyes filled with concern. "It's late, and she's been through a lot." Astrid nodded, her eyes scanning Lyra's peaceful face. "We'll stay here with her, make sure she's okay." Cormac nodded, his eyes locked onto Lyra's. "I'll keep watch, make sure no one bothers her." Kael nodded, his expression softening. "I'll be back. I need to get something." With that, he turned and disappeared into the night, using his supernatural speed to vanish into the darkness. He reappeared at the northern end of Ashwood, his eyes scanning the shadows for any sign of his friend. He spotted Riven leaning against a tree, a smirk on his face. Kael's eyes narrowed, his expression darkening. He strode towards Riven, his movements swift and deadly. Riven looked up, his eyes widening in surprise. "Woah, what's up bro?" he asked, holding up his hands in a placating gesture. Kael's eyes blazed with anger. "You bit her," he growled, his voice low and menacing. "When I told you guys to follow us, I expected you to attack after we got the stone, not before. And I specifically told you not to hurt any of them." Riven shrugged, his smirk growing wider. "I did it for the fun," he said, his voice dripping with nonchalance. Kael's eyes flashed with anger, and he grabbed Riven by the throat, slamming him into the tree. "You i***t," he snarled, his voice barely above a whisper. "You could have ruined everything." Riven's eyes widened in surprise, and he tried to struggle free. But Kael's grip was like a vice, and he couldn't "Ouch bro why do you care so much " Riven said Kael's expression didn't change, but his eyes seemed to burn with an inner fire. "Shut up, Riven," he growled. But Riven just laughed, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Oh, come on, Kael. Don't play dumb with me. You're totally into Lyra, aren't you?" Kael's face twisted with rage, and he threw Riven to the ground. "You have no idea what you're talking about," he snarled. But Riven just sat up, his eyes never leaving Kael's face. "I know exactly what I'm talking about, bro," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "I've seen the way you look at her, the way you protect her. You're totally whipped." Kael's eyes flashed with anger, and he took a step closer to Riven. "You're going to regret saying that," he growled. But Riven just laughed, his eyes glinting with amusement. "I'm shaking in my boots, bro," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. Kael's face twisted with rage, and he turned to disappear into the night. "This isn't over, Riven," he growled. Riven's laughter echoed through the night, following Kael like a shadow. "I'm counting on it, bro," he called out, his voice dripping with amusement.
