The last thing I expected to see when I heard Zephyr’s scream and rushed over was him being wrapped in Elias’s arms.
But there he was, wide-eyed and frozen like a deer in headlights. And Elias? He looked way too comfortable holding him like that. Like it wasn’t the first time. What the hell?
I stopped walking and I felt my jaw tense.
“What’s wrong?” Barrett asked beside me, following my gaze. Then he let out a low whistle. “Well, would you look at that? The prince works fast.”
I didn’t answer, my eyes stayed locked on them, even though I didn’t want them to. Elias was laughing while Zephyr looked like he was about to combust from embarrassment, and for some reason, that made my chest tighten in the worst way.
