CHAPTER FOUR The salvo of explosions continued as Eva and her companions made their way back through the crypt, clinging for dear life to the warmth of Madden's good hand. With every blast, fragments of the ceiling jolted loose, shards of rock from the roof plummeting down, threatening to blind her. Dust was everywhere, the scent mingled with heavy ozone. Eva felt her hair begin to rise with the build-up of static electricity. One peek revealed the same thing was happening to everybody around her.
