Across from them, J.D. Shelton tried to cram himself into a gap Eva would have had a hard time squeezing into alone. “What about you?” Gila said to Madden in muted tones. “I'm half demon. Maybe I can use it to my advantage for once. Stay quiet. I'm going to attempt interference with their systems. The transport moved forward at a casual pace, not slowing, as if it were going exactly where it was meant to go. One of the enormous ships pulled close, Madden piloting the transport close to the port side of the titanic fuselage.
